Creative Design Process

Understanding Your Vision
The process starts by understanding what is it that you want to achieve – your vision - your style preferences, functional needs, lifestyle choices, timelines, budget and other plans. In parallel we tour the property, to review its style and discuss possible options, its location, its furniture, where it need may need repair or renovation along with any legal considerations, depending on the scope of your commission.

Design Direction
With a clear brief in place, the process for developing concepts commences.   From spatial planning to materials, finishes, and furnishings, every element is considered. The mood boards, floor plans, sketches, and samples are discussed with you to ensure the design reflects, the brief and of course your taste.

Refinement and Execution
Once the design direction has your approval the refinement commences. Every, material selection and specification, incorporating any adjustments you request until the design is signed off.  I will manage the design through to completion. My  approach ensures the finished result is beautifully realised, delivered to specification – Bringing your vision to life.
Design Scope
Initial Consultation
First, we listen. We harvest as much information
as possible: a client’s aspirations, their priorities and their
aesthetic preferences as well as their dislikes. We also talk through
the plans and the target timeframe and budgets –
this initial consultation phase sets the framework
and parameters for the entire project.
Concepts and Mood Boards
Interior design is an evolving process, and it starts
with a Concept Board. This initial presentation is a visual
interpretation of your brief, which develops the identity or
‘design DNA’ of the project.
Once approved a mood board from colour palettes,
flooring selections to furniture, soft furnishings and lighting
is presented and discussed. The result is a mood board that
marries aesthetic ambition with functionality, to deliver spaces
that are as beautiful as they are practical.
Lighting
Lighting is vital in interior design because it shapes how
we see, use, and feel in a space. It goes far past basic visibility,
acting as a powerful tool to change room sizes, set daily moods,
and show off colours or textures. An assessment of existing
lighting will be made and then we will discuss specifying task,
ambient, accent and any decorative lighting. Where required
we will partner with a specialist lighting company.
Floor Plans, Span Planning and Procurement
Incorporating feedback from the earlier design phases,
we evolve the design into final schemes ready for
implementation, including floor plans, schedules and layouts.
Refining
Once the design has your approval the refinement commences.
Every, material selection and specification, incorporating any
adjustments you request are then comprehensively documented
for a final review.
Execution
After months of planning the task of coordinating every
stage of your project begins - managing procurement,
overseeing trades, and resolving challenges, ensuring your
design is delivered smoothly, on time, and within budget.
Styling and Handover
The moment finally arrives to bring your vision to life.
Carefully chosen cushions, lamps, vases, picture frames
and decorative accents are positioned throughout each room
to create balance, texture and focal points that reflect your
personal taste. Each piece is left in its intended location
for a full 24‑hour period, giving you time to live with the
arrangement and decide whether it feels right.
